Terms of use
Last updated 11 October 2026
Effective date: 11 October 2026. Operator: Venushub CY LTD (“Venushub”, “we”, “us”, “our”), Geranon 1, 7040 Larnaca, Cyprus; registration number HE442414, VAT number CY60003025H.
1. Scope and service role
1.1 Platform function: Venushub provides an online food and beverage ordering platform (“VenueBites”) connecting stadium and venue attendees (“Customers”, “you”) with independent canteen vendors operating at the venue (“Canteen”, “Merchant”).
1.2 Merchant of record: the Canteen selling the items is the direct contractual seller of the food, beverages and merchandise. Venushub acts solely as an intermediary technology and payment-processing platform. The Canteen's company is named as the seller on the checkout, on the payment page and on your receipt; payment is processed by the Canteen's own payment provider under that provider's terms.
2. Ordering, pricing and pre-authorisation
2.1 Order placement: when you place an order, your payment card or wallet is pre-authorised for the total order amount. Prices are set by the Canteen and include VAT where it applies.
2.2 Acceptance: a binding contract between you and the Canteen is formed only when the Canteen accepts your order in the staff system.
2.3 Pre-authorisation hold and capture: you are charged only when the Canteen accepts your order. If your order is rejected or cancelled prior to acceptance, the pre-authorisation hold is released immediately. Availability of released funds depends on your card issuer (typically 1–3 business days).
2.4 An order that is not paid within 10 minutes is cancelled. An order the Canteen does not accept in time is cancelled and the authorisation is released, so you are not charged.
3. Statutory rights, refunds and cancellation exemptions
3.1 Exemption from the right of withdrawal (EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU): pursuant to Article 16(d) and (e) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU and the equivalent provisions of Cyprus law, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal/cancellation does not apply to the supply of: goods made to customer specifications or clearly personalised; and perishable goods or food and beverages liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly.
3.2 Order cancellations: once an order is accepted by the Canteen or sent to preparation, orders cannot be cancelled or modified by the customer.
3.3 Defects and non-delivery: if your order is incomplete, defective or not delivered, you must notify Canteen staff immediately at the venue. Verified defects will be refunded via the original payment method. Refunds are made by the Canteen to the card you paid with.
4. Age verification and alcohol policy
4.1 Legal age: you must be at least 14 years old to use the VenueBites platform.
4.2 Alcohol purchases: under Cyprus law, purchasing or consuming alcohol is strictly restricted to individuals aged 18 years or older.
4.3 ID check and refusal protocol: by adding alcohol items to your cart, you explicitly confirm that you are at least 18 years of age. Canteen staff are legally required to verify valid photo ID (passport, EU ID card or driver's licence) upon delivery or collection. If valid photo ID proving you are 18 or older is not presented on collection or delivery, the canteen will refuse to hand over the alcohol items. The amount paid for those items is refunded to your original payment method; the service fee for the order is not refunded.
5. Limitation of liability
5.1 Food safety and allergens: the Canteen is strictly responsible for food preparation, hygiene, ingredient accuracy and allergen cross-contamination handling. Venushub assumes no liability for food safety or preparation errors. Allergen information is declared by the Canteen on each item; if you have an allergy or intolerance, ask the staff before ordering.
5.2 Technical availability: Venushub does not guarantee uninterrupted platform access. Aggregate liability for technical failures is limited to the fees paid for the specific transaction.
5.3 Using the service: do not place orders you do not intend to pay for, or use the service to disrupt a venue. We may limit or refuse orders to protect Canteens and other customers.
6. Governing law and jurisdiction
6.1 Governing law: these Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cyprus.
6.2 Jurisdiction: any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Nicosia, Cyprus.
